Beyond 20/20 works closely with State governments and the FBI to ensure Crime Insight remains fully up to date with the most recent NIBRS Technical Specification.
The changes going into effect on January 1st, 2021 consist of the removal of three Group B offense codes, and Crime Insight will be updated to be compatible with that. With regards to the three Group B offenses that are going away, we don't really know what this means and have been in discussion with several states about it. The FBI still accepts offense 90I, which was removed from the spec a few years ago, so we do not currently believe there's any urgency to blocking agencies from submitting the three being removed now.
