When you bring labels into a dimension from a CSV file or by adding a field and typing them in, they do not show in the table by default. To get them to show you have to show them and then save the view so that they are displayed by default.

To Display Labels in the Table

The table is displaying the labels instead of the codes:

Even though the labels have been loaded into the dimension:

To get the labels to display in the table:

1. Make sure that you are in the table view:

2. Make sure the dimension with labels is selected and that the cursor is at the top of the dimension. In the previous screenshot the Type dimension was selected when we want the Region labels to be displayed and the cursor was on WC for Jan1991 when we want it to be on CA for Jan1991. To change this as in the next screenshot, click on Region and press <Ctrl><Home> or click on the top left cell.

3. Do one of the following:
From the Dimension menu select Change Labels
Click the Next Label button
The labels appear in the table:

4. If you want the labels to be displayed every time you open the table, from the View menu, select Save
