Publisher's Edition System Requirements : Beyond 20/20

Overview

This document contains information about documention and setup procedures for Beyond 20/20 Publisher's Edition.

To run all the Publisher's Edition components, you must have the following minimum hardware and software:

Windows Windows 7 or later.
45 MB of available disk space for the software. Data files will need more space, depending on their size.

Data Create Extract or Data Go: Problem with encoding when using CSV source files. In this version, pointing a source field or dimension to a CSV file uses ANSI (Windows) characters by default, not OEM (MSDOS).
Note that in previous versions, a bug existed which caused the headers of CSV files to be treated as ANSI (Windows-1252) and the data to be treated as OEM 437 (IBM437) character set. If you have created any custom workarounds for this problem in past versions, you can preserve the old behaviour by adding the following key/value pair to the [Input] section of the IVU file:
OemCompatibility=TRUE
Different colors than earlier versions. Version 7 uses a new color pallette for the user interface. If you prefer to use your old colors you can customize the interface, as follows:
- To change the background colors, open the Window menu and choose Preferences. Make your selections and click OK. Your settings will be saved as the default.
- To change map colors, right-click in a map view and choose Map Options. Make your selections and click on Save As Default.
- To change chart colors, double-click on a color area and make your selection. Then right-click in the chart view and choose Chart Options. (Note: Chart colors cannot be saved.)
